KRISTIANSAND is an exciting, colourful textile which is inspired by thin section imagery. The thin section was created by technician Iona Copely of the University of Aberdeen by filing the sample down to a very thin slice - this allowed us to investigate the optical properties of the sample through cross polarised light. I think thin section imagery is absolutely outstanding and after the success of my Granite thin section design, I’m very excited to have worked with this type of scientific imagery again.
Don’t you hate it when you are reading a good book at the beach and you get sand in the pages? This bookmark will be a help rather than an annoyance! It slides over the corner of any size of book so you won’t lose your place and also acts as protection for the pages of your book. Handmade by April in Glasgow from a beautiful cotton printed in the UK.
The corner bookmark measures approximately 9x9cm.
