A beautifully soft velvet cushion cover in the design 'ABERDEEN' which features Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) imagery of a sand sample collected at Aberdeen beachfront. This amazing piece of technology can view sand grains at one thousandth of a millimetre. April combined the monochrome SEM images with a colour palette from the day she collected the sand to create this beautiful moody blue and sandy beige textile. The coordinates featured are where the sand was collected.
The cover measures 45x45cm and has a concealed zip closure, hand finished to the highest standard. There is a small branded Agate & Ayre label sewn into the bottom left corner. The optional cushion inner is premium vegan filling and has been made in the UK.
The printed panel is soft velvet which has been printed using zero water waste digitally printed methods in the UK. It is complimented by a plush plain velvet in marine teal for the back, sourced from a small UK manufacturer.
