Part of the Tall Ships Collection, ABERDEEN uses Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) imagery of a sand sample collected at Aberdeen Beachfront. This amazing piece of technology can view sand grains at one thousandth of a millimetre. April combined the monochrome SEM images with a colour palette from the day she collected the sand to create this beautiful moody blue and sandy beige textile.
This light velvet infinity scarf is a lightweight version of the bestselling Agate & Ayre plush velvet infinity scarf. Perfect for the Spring and Summer months, it has the same soft and tactile properties as our usual velvet but in a lighter weight. Available in a very limited run of 4 scarves, these are made to order and will be dispatched within 2 weeks.
These are long enough to wrap around twice for a snug, cosy hug around your neck. You'll be amazed by just how soft this plush fabric is and the incredible detail of the prints. Scarf is approximately 15cm wide, loop is 145cm. Machine washable at 30 degrees. A colour catcher is advised to prolong the vibrancy of the print. Do not iron or tumble dry.

When digitally printing, there may be small variations in colour from batch to batch, however we do everything we can to minimise this risk. Colours particularly prone to this are red and pink. Prints can also vary in look from one fabric base to another so may not match across the produt range.

April was one of 6 makers selected by Aberdeen Art Gallery to develop a body of work celebrating the Tall Ships Race returning to Aberdeen. Each Tall Ships Collection piece comes with its own limited edition label explaining the collection, and is currently only available through Aberdeen Art Gallery or in limited numbers from the Agate & Ayre webstore.
